L2Citadel one of the most hyped Lineage 2 private servers in recent memory finally opens in just 2 days on 1/21/2015. Since the projects birth over 8 months ago it has quickly gained a very large and active community. Reaching 2k online on the forums daily and with 2.1k game accounts made during open beta this shows just how active this community is.
The project has been written about extensively over the past few months and even Goha.ru is doing a Podcast with the L2Citadel Russian community manager this coming weekend. Why all the hype?
Well the server is unique in being the first ever Lineage 2 private server that will actually replicate Hellbound how it was on the official servers. The staff and developers at l2Citadel have constantly and consistently proven their skills, dedication, and passion for what they are doing and the community has seen this and reacted to it.
The Race For Aden
L2Citadel just announced that they will be rewarding the first clan to take Aden castle with 250 Euros. There is also a couple of other really interesting events planned for just after opening, one called "Redeye" really seems like it will be great fun. 10 people playing a L2marathon until they all drop except one and live streaming the entire time. The winner gets a beast of a video card!
